Just Gabby...

These were taken @ Gabby's grandma's house this past weekend.
She won't stand still, nor will she actually look at the camera, so I just have to get her in action!
She's growing so much! It's so hard to believe she's 16 months old now!

I've been so busy with wedding pics, band pics, invites, programs, bachelorette party, etc, that I haven't had time to work on many Gabby pics. (still taking em, just not uploading & editing them)

Step 1 - Just Do It.

I guess this was step 1 in my 12 step program of over-coming the fear of shooting a wedding.
As some of you know, the pictures themselves aren't my fear...I have an equipment failure fear.
I am not haunted by this fear in normal, everyday shoots, as those can be re-taken should some problem arise. But, a wedding...no, a wedding can't be re-shot. It's a once-in-a-lifetime event. (well, not nowadays, but that's a topic for another time and place).

So, enough of my rambling...here's a few pics from yesterday's wedding. And yes, its only a few, as the wedding was only yesterday, and I haven't had time to edit too many of them.

Will's Birthday Pics

Playdate @ The Play Place

Gabby Grace, Will, Tyler & Bayli Ballard all met up at The Play Place in Ridgeland for this weeks playdate. They had lots of fun playing with each other. Here's a few shots from the day. And although we TRIED taking a group pic of them, it just didn't work out. There's not one picture where you can see all of their faces. Gabby, of course, being the first one to bolt up and out everytime we'd get them all seated.

Well, I guess "little" isn't the right word to use, considering Mr. Brown is set to be a star football player! I need to post some from his Birthday Party, and I will, soon , but for now here's a couple taken this past Monday.

No, she doesn't pose, these are by accident. She wanted to stand by the fence, because Dylan was standing by the fence. And, she loves roses now. One was about to break off of her rose bush, so I picked it, took the thorns off and gave it to her. She carried it around until it was no more. The sundress pic is her @ Will Brown's birthday party. Those pics will be ready soon. You can see a preview of them here.

What's a Belly Button?

I think that is what Gabby Grace is trying to figure out here. She'll show it to you, and even raise your shirt to find yours, but I think she wonders what its for! (I thought they worked well in black & white, too)

Gabby's Room

I rearranged Gabby's room in order to take this pic under her
hanging name. She has this new obsession with sitting in her rocking chair.
Or, in this case, standing.
She just wants to sit in it, alone, rocking!
It's cute!

Railroad Tracks

I've been wanting to take train track pics for a while, and I finally got
the chance to today.
It was majorly hot outside, so we didn't stay long.
Actually, I think we were out for less than 10 minutes.
Gabby didn't know what to think about the tracks, but she did
stay in them instead of trying to run down the sides, so that's a good thing!

Another Day at the Park

We went back to Friendship Park yesterday.
This time, though, with daddy in tow.

It's much easier to keep up with her, and to take pics, when both of us are there.

Day at the Park

Gabby & I went to Friendship Park, for the first time, Monday.
She loved it. She was shy for about 2 minutes, then
got down from my arms and started following kids all around the park.
They were all a good bit older than her, but she didn't care.
She's not too fond of the slide just yet, but loved the swing.
We didn't break the camera out until we were just
about to leave (shocking, I know),
but since it was just she & I, I didn't wanna have
to carry it around the entire time.
